They were able to launch in so many states simultaneously thanks to the fact that DK Horse is a partnership with Churchill Downs, arguably the biggest name in online horse race betting.
Jason Robins, CEO and Chairman of the Board at DraftKings, praised Churchill Downs as an industry leader.
“Together with Churchill Downs Incorporated, an industry leader with a deep-rooted history in horse racing, we will deliver an innovative, mobile customer experience,” Robins said.
He continued: “Our goal is to provide our customers with best-in-class-sports and gaming products, and we expect DK Horse to provide a fun and new way to engage with renowned races like the upcoming Run for the Roses.”

TwinSpires was one of the first organizations to move out of the sports betting market and one wonders if this partnership could be the reason why.
In other words, instead of setting out on their own and attempting to conquer the sports betting world, they could see a path forward licensing their horse betting technology to big names in sports betting.
One major note for players is that this online gambling app is not integrated with the DraftKings casino or sportsbook apps – it’s an entirely different platform.
