- Pennsylvania now has live dealer games on three different internet casinos.
- Three blackjack games and three roulette games are now available for live dealer playing in the Quaker State.
PHILADELPHIA - Evolution Gaming will be opening the doors to their Pennsylvania studio in the city of Philadelphia to roll out their live dealer internet casino games to the Commonwealth.
Pennsylvania is now the second state to offer this type of online gambling to their residents. Since 2016, New Jersey was the only state in the country to have legal live dealer games available to online gamblers.
The Details Of The Roll Out
Three online casinos in Pennsylvania have expanded their gaming options with Evolution Gaming, which means their members will now have access to live dealer casino games.
BetRivers, DraftKings, and Play SugarHouse are all a part of the “soft launch” that began on Wednesday for an eight-hour window from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday will see a ten-hour window of availability from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Should no serious issues be encountered during the soft launch, 24/7 access to live dealer games will be open beginning on Friday.
When this type of internet gambling started back in 2016 in New Jersey, the only company to have a product for this service was Ezugi. Their studio was located inside the Golden Nugget. However, once Evolution Gaming came to the scene in 2018, they bought out Ezugi to have a complete monopoly on this form of USA online gaming.
"Many online players prefer live dealer options because they watch the action as it happens, which gives them a higher level of trust in the outcome," said Richard Schwartz, the President of BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse parent company Rush Street Interactive (RSI). "A live dealer game is the closest you can get online to playing in a land-based casino and we're thrilled to be the first to offer players in Pennsylvania the opportunity to virtually sit and play on Evolution's world-renowned live tables."
Evolution Gaming will provide players a technological experience to mirror one of being in an actual casino without needing to be in one.
Live streaming videos of the game and the dealer are provided and engagement with other players as well as with the dealer makes for an even more realistic feel. Streaming of the games and the chat features are always accessible no matter what time of day, players will always find a game going on to participate in.
What Games Will Be Seen On These Platforms?
Six titles are open for the soft launch in Pennsylvania and these will be the same titles going into the full launch on Friday.
There are three blackjack games and three roulette games. There is Blackjack, Infinite Blackjack, and First-Person Blackjack. For roulette, there is Roulette, First Person Roulette, and First-Person Lightning Roulette.
It’s easier to introduce new offerings in small batches like this to be able to control any possible problems that may occur much more swiftly than if there were many more games to deal with at one time.
Infinite Blackjack has no set number of players that can join in and gamble on the game. All First-Person games turn to 3D style graphics for a digitized way of playing. Gamblers can always choose to go live with a button on the screen that will transfer them to a live (non-digital) version of the same game they were playing. More titles and different games will be coming in the future.
Evolution Gaming already provides New Jersey players with blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and various forms of poker.
“The Evolution-hosted Live Dealer Casino has proven very popular with players at PlaySugarHouse.com in New Jersey. We are confident players in Pennsylvania will love these live-action table games too. Extending our partnership with Evolution into PA supports our mission to continually offer our loyal online players the best mix of innovative and entertaining games available,” said Schwartz.
With Pennsylvania being the second state in the country to offer online live dealer casino games, Evolution Gaming already has its eyes on the third state, Michigan.
Michiganders should look for this evolution of their internet gaming experience to occur sometime in early 2021. But at the moment, the people of Pennsylvania can begin enjoying the latest in gaming evolution right now.
