- The app is available on iPhone and Android, as well as online via a mobile website.
- Michigan will be the second state in which BetMGM operates a poker app.
LAS VEGAS - BetMGM has announced that they are opening online poker to Michigan-based customers.
This announcement makes Michigan the second state to have access to online poker via BetMGM.
Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, was effusive in his praise for his company and for the gaming portfolio they offer in Michigan.
“The launch of BetMGM Poker in Michigan fully rounds out our premier gaming portfolio in the state,” said Greenblatt. “BetMGM’s sports betting and casino offerings have been met with incredible early success in Michigan and we’re thrilled to provide players with another exciting gaming option.”
BetMGM’s online poker offerings in the state are built around the BetMGM online poker app, which is now available for download in Michigan.
This app allows players within Michigan to compete against one another in various poker games, from tournaments to cash games.
The app uses the same login credentials as BetMGM’s sports betting and casino gaming apps, so bettors can easily integrate the poker app into their daily routines.
The app is available for download on iPhone and Android devices in Michigan, and is also accessible on desktop devices. This means that bettors all over the state will be able to play poker online, whether they be on a desktop, a laptop, or a mobile device.
As the poker app opens up, there will be several promotions for players in Michigan, with incentives for joining.
For example, all new players on the BetMGM poker app in Michigan will be eligible for a free tournament with 50,000 in prize money available.
In addition, there will be signup and deposit matching bonuses for players who join the Michigan poker community via BetMGM’s app.
USA online gamblers have a lot to look forward too across the United States, and this situation going well for Michigan could end up having a snowball effect of more states looking at regulating online poker.
Most states have focused on sports betting in recent years, but online poker can be seen as a logical next step, so hopeful online gamblers in other states can keep an eye on this as something of a trial program.
With any luck, the results will be significant, and other states will take notice.
