LAS VEGAS – Bingo fans have something to be excited about, as multiple gambling companies have taken an interest in the potential of online bingo and its potential subsequent gambling market.
BetMGM Launches New Bingo App
Online gambling company BetMGM has recently announced the launch of their own online bingo program, ‘Borgata Bingo online.’
Developed by Entain, Borgata Bingo online will offer players a plethora of different slot games and jackpot games to diversify their Bingo experience.
“Borgata Bingo provides players with an engaging digital gaming experience – one that builds upon the fun of live, in-person bingo,” said Matthew Sunderland, Vice President of Gaming, BetMGM. “We’re pleased to introduce this first-of-its-kind platform as we further expand the Borgata brand online.”
The platform itself will provide players with 75- and 90-ball bingo games to play and is currently available as both a mobile gambling app and on their website.
888 Holdings Sells Bingo Operation To Broadway Gaming Group
Across the ocean in the UK, 888 Holdings revealed it’s selling its Bingo business to Broadway Gaming Group, a company that specializes in online Bingo, to the tune of $50 million.
“We are delighted to reach an agreement with 888 to acquire its bingo business and platform. By combining these with our existing business and brands, which include ‘Butlers Bingo’, we will be able to achieve an even stronger global footprint in key regulated bingo markets,” said David Butler, CEO of Broadway Gaming
The deal will not be finalized however, until a few things have been completed, such as a reorganization of the bingo business, and the receiving of a UK Gambling Commission license.
Flutter Entertainment Expands With New Acquisition
The growing interest in the online bingo market has also been demonstrated by the recent acquisition of online bingo operator, Tombola, by Flutter Entertainment PLC for £402m.
“The brand aligns closely with Flutter’s safer gambling strategy, a key area of focus for us. I am excited to combine Flutter’s digital marketing expertise with Tombola’s operational capabilities within the UK & Ireland division,” said Peter Jackson, Flutter Chief Executive.
Tombola averages roughly 400,000 monthly players and generates millions every year all with only 700 employees.
Bingo players and online gambling fans alike can start getting excited for a rapidly growing interest of the hobby, and its market expansion.
