- Evolution Gaming has announced its second live dealer agreement in Michigan with BetMGM last Friday.
- Michigan is set to launch online casinos this year and the state is a huge market for online gambling.
- There will need to be live dealer studios in the state and the casino games will be launched in Michigan after going live in New Jersey first.
DETRIOT - Evolution Gaming has announced that it has signed an agreement with BetMGM to bring live dealers to Michigan’s online gaming market on Friday.
This deal should help live dealer casino games takeoff once online casinos are launched in the third-biggest and 10th most populous state with legalized online gambling.
BetMGM, a brand that was created through a partnership between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, is one of the major firms that are ready to spend big money on the Michigan online gambling market.
“We are honoured to have been chosen by BetMGM to be partners in the fast-developing US live gaming market,” said Johan Nordstrom, Chief Executive Officer at Evolution Gaming Malta. “This is a natural extension of our existing relationship with GVC Holdings’ brands.”
Evolution Gaming announced a similar deal with PointsBet to introduce live dealer games to the Great Lakes State since online casinos are going live this year.
There will have to be live dealer studios located inside of state lines according to the draft rules, and though the announcement did not indicate a studio location, hosing it in MGM Grand Detroit would be the easiest option.
“BetMGM was formed with a very clear objective: to lead sports betting and online gaming in the United States,” said Matthew Sunderland, Vice President of Gaming for BetMGM. “As the undisputed leader and innovator in Live Casino services for digital gaming, Evolution is the perfect fit for us. Evolution offers everything we need to enable our brands to roll out an extremely rich, world-class online live gaming experience across the US and their new state launches roadmap is very much in accord with our own alongside building on our current leadership position in Gaming in New Jersey”
To compare, live dealer online casino games in New Jersey did not exist until three years after online casinos were launched.
Though the announcement states that NJ will receive live dealer games from BetMGM before Michigan, this deal and addition will bring a huge spark to the new USA online gambling market in the state.
