FSB And AGT Make Deal For Deadwood Sports Betting

  • FSB has partnered with AG Trucano to offer sports betting kiosks in Deadwood.
  • Sports betting is newly legal in Deadwood, while gambling has been allowed since 1989 for the South Dakota town.
  • AG Trucano operates 11 casinos and all will now see the usage of these sports betting kiosks.

DEADWOOD, S.D. - As gaming operators flock to Deadwood, South Dakota for its newly regulated sports wagering market, deals are currently being made.

FSB Technology, a U.K. based gaming technology firm, has struck a deal with Deadwood slot operator AG Trucano.

The deal will include self-service sports betting kiosks in AGT’s 11 Deadwood casinos, with each kiosk running FSB’s gaming technology.

AGT: A South Dakota Institution

AGT operates 11 casinos in Deadwood, and its operations group still involves the Trucano family, after it was purchased back from Nevada Gold in 2018.

The company has been operating gambling parlors in Deadwood since gambling was first allowed in the city, in 1989.

Bart Hamm, the President of Aces Full, Inc. (AG Trucano), praised the deal as one that would allow the company to offer retail sportsbooks in a flexible manner.

“With the legalization of sports betting in the city of Deadwood in 2020, we were keen to find a technically advanced US based team who would help us operate a retail sportsbook in our properties,” Hamm said.

“FSB has a unique retail offering that gives us control and flexibility while allowing us to offer our patrons a sensational sports betting experience.”

Mike Trucano, of the Trucano family, praised the ease of getting the deal done, as well as the usefulness of the kiosks.

“It’s been a pleasure working with FSB’s Business Development Manager Lisa Waterfield and Mike on this agreement,” Trucano opined. “We’ve been hugely impressed by their retail solution and look forward to distributing the FSB SSBT kiosks across 11 of our casinos.”

Mike Van Ermen of FSB focused on the good this did for the company in terms of moving into the North American market via South Dakota’s gambling safe haven.

“This is a tremendous step forward for FSB as we continue to make progress in the North American market,” Van Ermen said.

“AG Trucano has an outstanding reputation in South Dakota and we’re delighted to be building this partnership with them. This deal is testament to the strength of our localized retail offering and the huge progress that FSB has made in 2021 in the US and globally. It’s great to see our momentum continuing.”
