CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers have fired Matt Rhule, which means bettors cashed in on his -200 odds to be the first NFL head coach fired.
Now, bettors can wager on who the next coach to be fired will be, and who will take Rhule’s spot in charge of the Carolina Panthers.
Betting On The Next NFL Head Coach Fired
With Rhule gone, Nate Hackett of the Denver Broncos takes over the top spot on the Next Coach Fired in the NFL odds boards.
Next NFL Coach to Permanently Leave Their Post
- Nathaniel Hackett -190
- Frank Reich +500
- Kliff Kingsbury +650
- Ron Rivera +950
- Dan Campbell +1200
- Josh McDaniels +1400
- Mike Tomlin +2500

- Dennis Allen +3000
- Matt Eberflus +4000
- Lovie Smith +4000

Hackett has been overwhelmingly bad in his time in Denver, leading the Broncos to a 2-3 start, and forcing the team to hire a coach specifically to manage decisions that Hackett was messing up.
Frank Reich of the struggling Indianapolis Colts is next up on the chopping block, but his +500 odds pale in comparison to Hackett’s -190.
An intriguing option is Kliff Kingsbury, whose situation is complicated by the fact that his Arizona Cardinals will be featured on Hard Knocks: In-Season this year, and Kingsbury has been heavily featured in the advertisements for it.
