- Friday’s drawing takes place at 11 p.m. ET.
WASHINGTON – Friday’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot drawing is an estimated $910 million. The jackpot is on the verge of reaching the $1 billion mark, a number the lottery jackpot has reached four times in its history.
Anxious players hoping for the near billion-dollar jackpot could also win any of the other eight available prize tiers. These range from $2 to $1,000,000. Much easier, there were 2,519,403 Mega Millions winners across all prize levels in Tuesday’s drawing.
In total, 54 US gambling players for the lottery won the $10,000 prize with seven of them earning the four times megaplier for a $40,000 payout.
Getting Some Winnings Back
Nobody won the jackpot, but one Maryland player won the match five for $1 million and a Texas player hit the match five + megaplier for $4 million. Friday’s July 28 drawing will be the 29th of the current roll that began on April 18.
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot was an estimated $820 million. Since nobody held a winning lottery ticket, the jackpot increased by nearly $100 million for Friday’s drawing.
Lottery drawings last week saw the Powerball at $1B and the Mega Millions at $720 million, but a lucky California player had all the winning Powerball numbers on July 19.
Now, the Mega Millions jackpot is over $860 million greater than the Powerball jackpot. The current jackpot estimated at $910 million is only the fifth Mega Millions jackpot to surpass $656 million.
The next Mega Millions drawing is at 11 p.m. ET. A potential lucky winner would receive a real money cash option of $462.2 million.
